The High Water Marks is an indie rock band formed in 2003 by Hilarie Sidney (co-founder of Elephant 6 and former drummer of The Apples in Stereo) and Norwegian musician Per Ole Bratset. After starting as a long-distance collaboration, they released their debut Songs About the Ocean (2004). The band resumed activity in 2019 with new members Logan Miller and Øystein Megård, releasing several albums since: Ecstasy Rhymes (2020), Proclaimer of Things (2022), and Your Next Wolf (2023). They also run their own cassette label, 6612 Tapes. Their new album Consult the Oracle was released on May 16, 2025, via Meritorio Records.
